When a disaster such as a flood strikes, everybody is trying to survive and the protection and well-being of children is often overlooked. When close 50,000 people were affected by floods in Kasese District in western Uganda, World Vision was among the first humanitarian organisations to move in and offer hope for recovery. Committed to protecting the vulnerable even in some of the most hostile environments, we worked to ensure that children had access to food, clean water, and shelter.
